mhc: What made you decide to become involved with MHC?
linda:I have a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a focus in advertising. When MHC needed an extra hand, I happily volunteered! I truly admire the handmade, homegrown movement.
mhc: What is your job with MHC, and what do you hope to give MHC's readers? What do you get out of it?
linda:I am the advertising coordinator for MHC. I work with Etsy shops, artists, and small businesses who want to place ads in our magazine. I understand that an ad isn't just a pretty picture; it's an effective way to gain more publicity for a product or store. Many of our customers return again and again and I remember them by name. I try to build a relationship with our advertisers because they are a vital part of MHC. We couldn't evolve without their support.
mhc: What is your favorite section of MHC?
linda:My favorite section of MHC is Funny Kids' Quotes. I work with five and six-year-olds everyday, and I know firsthand that children have an amazing sense of humor.
mhc: What is your favorite season, and why?
linda:I will always love Spring-- the slightly chilly breeze, bright sunshine, and the world coming alive again.
mhc: And lastly, early bird or night owl?
linda:I am definitely an early bird. I'm a teacher and I am usually up by 6:15 a.m. on weekdays.
