marissa: I am a proud auntie of two adorable nieces, supportive wife of an awesome musician, Harry Potter fanatic, food lover and crazy crafter. I spend most of my days in my Salt Lake City home running my more than full time business Rae Gun. I create and sew vintage inspired modern baby clothes. It's really time consuming but I absolutely love it. I share my life, recipes, and crafts on my blog Rae Gun Ramblings.
mhc: What made you decide to become involved with MHC?
mhc: What is your job with MHC, and what do you hope to give MHC's readers? What do you get out of it?
marissa: I am the wear editor on staff. I love being able to take a break from my own business to see what others are creating for little ones. It's so fun to see all of the creativity and talent that is out there and share new designers with our readers. I hope that I can help readers remember how fun it can be to dress little ones as well as give them some practical advice on integrating current fashion trends.
marissa: Gosh I feel like each magazine is so jammed packed full of great articles, but I absolutely loved all of the great ideas to keep little ones busy over the summer in the most recent issue. I'll definitely be
trying some out on my nieces.

mhc: What is your favorite season, and why?
marissa: I'm a big fan of Fall and Spring. I just adore the weather. It's perfect for wearing a skirt and cardigan, and some days you can even get away with a tank top with out being totally uncomfortable as in the heat of Summer. Oh and of course my feet don't need to be bundled in boots like during Winter, so shoes are way cuter too.
marissa: Creme brulee. I had one on a cruise earlier this year that had a layer of dark chocolate ganache, and I definitely pick that for my favorite
dessert.
