- 1/2 a 6” whole-wheat pita (sliced in half around the edge, not across the middle)
- 1 tablespoon pizza sauce
- 5 pepperoni
- 1 oz. grated mozzarella (about ¼ cup)
- Basil and oregano, fresh or dried
- Freshly-ground salt and pepper
Place the pita half on a baking sheet, cut side up. Spread with the pizza sauce, leaving about ½” of crust around the edge. Top with the pepperoni and mozzarella. Add herbs and salt and pepper to taste. Broil on high for about 3 minutes, rotating once, or until cheese is melted and lightly-browned and sauce is bubbling. Slice into quarters and enjoy.
